Here we go!

 I've never done a blog- EVER! I don't have any idea where to even begin. Apparently I had a blogger.com account for YEARS! Who'd a thunk? Anyway, here we are, week one of four, learning the ins and outs of building educational technology. 

When I was in school... yeah, we had chalk boards and abascuses, or abaci.. what were those things, anyway? Dick and Jane taught us how to read while they played with their pets, Spot the dog and Puff, the cat. Fast forward about 45 years and we are learning how to bring education into the home, while keep our students engaged and entertained!! Let's do this!

So,   teaching in person seems to be more my thing. I get in front of a class and talk to people! Recording blips to a slide, not so much. This took waaayyy longer than its should have had, probably because of my perfectionistic insecurities. Record... listen... hate it... repeat! UGH! Wilson Community College

I decided to evaluate Wilson Community College since I graduated from there in 2009. When I was a student at WCC, students did not have their own email addresses, instructors used cassette tapes and VCRs, TVs and overhead projectors to deliver content. Internet service was available, but not WiFi, so you had to go to the library to "plug in". When I think of the fact that I left only 12 years ago is MIND BLOWING! Enjoy my summary!
